Welsh Provision at ACO


ACO has a Welsh speaking trainer/assessor and can offer the following qualifications via the medium of Welsh and/or bilingually:
  • Essential Skills Wales Communication
  • Essential Skills Wales Application of Number
  • Essential Skills Wales Digital Literacy
  • Level 2 Diploma and 3 Diploma in Business Administration
  • Level 2 Certificate and Level 3 Diploma in Customer Service

Support for Apprentices/learners in Welsh


All learners can:
  • Complete a Welsh Language qualification at various levels.
  • Able to undertake aspects of their initial assessment in Welsh
  • Access main documentation bilingually e.g. ACO Learner Handbook
  • Access occupationally specific Welsh vocabulary guides

ACO promote and offer Welsh-medium/bilingual learning opportunities to all learners and raise awareness of Welsh language and culture with both learners and employers. ACO help facilitate staff and learners’ upskilling to feel confident using, and developing, their Welsh language skills.

  • November - SAW Awards – CCC learner and practitioner awards announced.

Benefits of completing your apprenticeship with Welsh


There are many benefits of completing your apprenticeship or course through the medium of Welsh or bilingually, these include:
  • You will get more employment opportunities with Welsh speaking employers.
  • You will improve your Welsh skills for use in the world of work and when conversing with Welsh colleagues and customers.
  • There will be more opportunities for you to make friends and to socialise by using Welsh.
  • When using Welsh and English, you can be part of two cultures.
  • By using and qualifying using Welsh, more jobs will be available to you.
